Ketoconazole powder is a pink suspension. Ketoconazole powder is a broad-spectrum imidazole antifungal drug marketed under the trade names Gindacanine, Myconazole and coining. It inhibits ergosterol biosynthesis on fungal cell membranes by highly selective interference with the cytochrome P-450 activity of fungi. Ketoconazole powder is effective for both shallow and deep fungal infections. Ketoconazole powder can inhibit both fungal growth and the transformation of spores into mycelium to prevent further infection.
