Product details
Menadione powder is white or quasi-white crystalline powder, caked after hygroscopic. It is easily soluble in water and hot ethanol, difficult to dissolve in ice ethanol, insoluble in benzene and aqueous solution PH4.7-7. Stable at room temperature, easy to decompose when exposed to light. Menadione is a procoagulant, which can be used to treat some bleeding disorders caused by vitamin K deficiency. Vitamin K3, also known as Menadione, can promote the formation of prothrombin, and also has a diuretic effect, which can lower blood pressure. Vitamin K3 is sometimes used as a coloring agent or food additive. Menadione powder can promote prothrombin synthesis and plasma coagulation factor synthesis in the liver of livestock and poultry.
Vitamin K deficiency: for coagulation disorders such as those caused by neonatal bleeding, prolonged diarrhea, or obstructive jaundice.
Hypoprothrombinemia: for coagulation abnormalities caused by overdose of oral anticoagulants (e.g. warfarin) or liver disease.
Trauma or postoperative bleeding: adjunctive treatment for substantial organ bleeding and postoperative hemostasis
Functions of Menadione powder
Applications of Menadione powder
Coagulation regulation
Used in the treatment of vitamin K deficiency (e.g., coagulation disorders caused by neonatal bleeding, prolonged diarrhea or jaundice) and hypoprothrombinemia (caused by overdose of oral anticoagulants or liver disease).
Injections are used for acute hemorrhage (e.g., substantial organ injury, post-operative hemostasis) and for the relief of poisoning by the rodenticide Sodium Dichlorvos.
Bone and Skin Health
Promote bone growth and maintenance of bone density, prevent osteoporosis.
Improve skin erythema and ecchymosis, assist skin repair and whitening.
Metabolic Regulation
Improve insulin sensitivity and assist in controlling blood sugar level.
As a food additive, used in dairy products, meat products, baked goods, beverages, etc., to enhance nutritional stability and extend shelf life.
Animal breeding
Add to animal feed to promote prothrombin synthesis, maintain normal blood clotting function, support animal growth and health.
Other Uses
Derivatives (e.g. methyl naphthoquinone acetate) are used in the development of pharmaceutical preparations with higher stability.
