White crystalline powder, soluble in benzene, ether, chloroform, derived from Forsythia suspense, dry Rehmannia glutinosa, Phillyrin fruit. Phillyrin CAS 487-41-2 is an extract of the dried fruit of forsythia in the rhinoceras family. The function is to clear heat and detoxify, reduce swelling and diffuse knots.
